Course description
I will explain the adaptive significance (ultimate factor) and mechanism (proximate factor) of the behavior from an evolutionary point of view and how and why animals, also human beings, take such behaviors.
Expected Learning
To understand basic ethology and veterinary ethology, especially concepts of sexual selection, kin selection and the inclusive fitness theory.

4-6. Reproduction and behavior: sexual selection
7-9. Animal social behavior: Inclusive fitness and kin selection.
