Course description |
This is a seminar-style class for freshmen in which a small number of people discuss themes provided by the instructor. It aims to help you depart from passive high school-style learning (the acquisition of knowledge) and assimilate more proactive university-style learning. In that process, it will also help you develop reading, writing, expression and communication skills. Through the exchange with teachers from other departments, you will be expected to build your character and awareness as a university student and learn basic manners necessary to succeed in society. Introduction to career planning for science students. During our course of life, we make many choices. But there is a large difference between when you can only choose from given options and when you proactively prepare options and make your own life choices. This course will provide you with opportunities to reflect on your past actions and decisions, understand their characteristics, and discuss how to make your desire a reality. The main focus will be on students in science universities and graduate schools. |

Prerequisites |
You cannot take seminars given by instructors from your own department. The class composition will be determined based on the course preference survey. Take the seminar you are assigned to. |

Attendance in the class is important. (Absence from one third of the classes will disqualify you from credits.)
