Course description
To understand cellular activities, which are essential for life, at molecular level, I will give you my lecture using power point slides uploaded on the web "Moodle". These slides are refered from the good text book "Molecuar Biology of the Cell".

1. Structure of biological membranes, and transport of small moleculea via membranes.
2. Cell cycle, cell division and cytoskeletons.
3. DNA, chromosome and genome.
4. diversity of plant genomes.
5. mutations by DNA transposons.
6. Regulation of gene expression I: RNA polymerase, splicing, exon and intron.
7. Regulation of gene expression II: Transcription factors.
8. Regulation of gene expression by RNAs: RNAi and imRNAs.
9. Epigenetics: mutations without nucleotide base change.
10. Biological defense against viruses by RNA.
11. RNA world.
12. Cellular localization and transport of proteins.
13. Cell fusion and protoplasts.
14. Totipotency.
15. Transgenic plants
