Expected Learning |
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to: Recognize the element of organic comounds. Describe the structure of organic compounds. Recognize the kinds of organic reactions. Realize the nomenclature of organic compounds. Comprehend the properties and reactions of functional groups. |
Course schedule |
Chapter 1 Understanding the element of organic compounds (C, H, O, N, and halides), electron configuration, hybrid orbital, covalent bond, electronegativity, resonance form, and so on. Chapter 2 Understanding the stereochemistry of organic compounds. Chapter 3 Understanding the kinds of organic reactions. In addition, recognizing the mechanisms how organic reactions occur. Chapter 4 Learning the description of breaking and forming of bonds to understand the reaction mechanism. Chapter 5 Comprehending the properties and reactions of functional groups. |
