Course description
[Dr. Tsuda]
Focusing on microorganisms and their genomes, outline of the basics, present situation, and future prospects for molecular biology on maintenance and expression of biological function in natural environment will be given.

[Dr. Sassa]
Plants which are not able to move to favourable environment survive by sensing the changing environment and responding to it. Changes of gene expression, the background of the response, will be introduced by showing various cases.
Expected Learning
[Dr. Tsuda]
Students should understand,
(1) the structure of microbial genomes and expression of their informations,
(2) approaches for microbial molecular ecology,
(3) structural dynamics and expression of information of microbial genomes in environment.

[Dr. Sassa]
Students should understand the mechanisms that plants response to environment by changing their gene expression.
