Course description
This course looks at the Earth's atmosphere from a chemistry point of view. The goal of this course is to understand basic natural processes controlling chemical cycles in the atmosphere. Also we will look at human influences on these processes including the ozone hole, greenhouse gas increase and photochemical oxidants.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:
*Describe the basic structure, composition, transport of the atmosphere
*Recognize and describe the mechanisms of problems in the atmosphere
*Describe the relationshipand possible contributions of their own research to the problems
