Course description
This course provides students with an understanding of how animals adapt physiologically to environmental challenges and addresses the basic physical and chemical principles that underlie physiological processes. Several biological systems are considered, including respiratory, circulatory, digestive and metabolic, and thermoregulatory.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:

1. What is physiology and how it is related to other biological sciences.

2. How organisms and particularly animals function and how they adapt to their environments.

3. How organisms deal with their basic needs for respiration, digestion, circulation, metabolism, temperature regulation, water balance, movement, and information handling.

4.A comparison between animals and humans to other organisms and how they use various physiological mechanisms.
