Course description |
In order to go richly healthy to live the college life and future of life, sport and exercise has important significance and value. In this lecture, five professors makes a lecture on such 1) Sport culture and modern society 2) Physical and mental health and life style 3) Training and conditioning 4) Sport skills and exercise of learning and control. |
Expected Learning |
The learning experiences and activities in the course are designed to enable to students to: 1. Define and describe the multiple roles of sports culture in modern life: playing, watching and supporting 2. Understand the relationship between physical and mental health problems and lifestyle scientifically and to be able to plan the health management of their own lifestyle 3. Learn the scientific methodology of exercise prescription and physical fitness training, and that it will be able to take advantage of its own practice 4. Understand the learning process of sports skills and motor learning, and that it will be able to get the level up their own skills and motor learning. |

The origin of the word for "Sport" and Unhealthy factors in the university student. (Uetake, T) Week 3 Sports skills from the viewpoint of neuroscience. (Tanaka, H.) Week 4 Sports skills from the viewpoint of perceptual and motor control theory. (Tanaka, H.) Week 5 Support system for athletes. How to improve Physical fitness and ability. (Iwami, M.) Week 6 Basic knowledge about conditioning science. Don't fall for pseudoscience.(Iwami, M.) Week 7 Basic knowledge about sports medicine. Prevention and treatment for Exercise & Sports injuries. Attend the class specified by the department of the relevant major. |

Assessment/Grading |
The students must attend the lecture more than 11 times. Considering the results of two exams and assignments that each professor will require, a total of 400 points is evaluated as follows. S: >=90%; A: 80-89%; B: 70-79%, C: 60-69%; D: <60% |
