Course description
This course provides an overview of various fields of industrial engineering and management. It is designed to prepare students for managerial roles and customer orientation in engineering-related occupations.
Expected Learning
1) Understanding basic concepts in the fields of microeconomics, strategic management, organizational behavior, quality management, marketing, and production management.
2) Learning to apply these concepts in basic exercises.
3) Remembering and actively recalling these concepts in order to be able to apply these concepts in future engineering-related occupations.

Intensive course day 1:
1) Introduction
2) Microeconomics
3) Strategic management: horizontal boundaries of the firm
4) Strategic management: vertical boundaries of the firm

Intensive course day 2:
5) Strategic management: firm competition
6) Strategic management: industry analysis
7) Strategic management: competitive advantage
8) Organizational behavior: structure and leadership

Intensive course day 3:
9) Marketing: marketing strategy
10) Marketing: Marketing mix
11) Quality management: customer satisfaction and consumer behavior
12) Quality management: the formation of customer satisfaction

Intensive course day 4:
13) Quality management: customer satisfaction management
14) Production management
15) Review and short test
