Course description
This course is a joint seminar where international students along with TUAT Japanese students will go to factories located in Hachioji and discuss how we can utilise each of the industries to develop new technologies. Members from the Hachioji Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be present and will also take part in the seminar.
Students will visit factories and design a new product virtually while examining how the new product would be both efficient and environmentally friendly.
Expected Learning
Course schedule
(1) Introduction and open seminar
Students will develop a clear understanding of the seminar’s theme
(2) Fieldwork (Study Tour)
Students will form groups along with Japanese students and
①visit various factories located in Hachioji, ② do field surveys ③ conduct group discussions
(3) Presentation
Students will give presentations based on their fieldwork and receive feedback from the class as well as the members from the Hachioji Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
