Course description
This course deals with the basis of fundamental experimental method, with fundamental chemical experiment and physical chemical experiment. It also enhances the development of students' skills in writing reports.
Expected Learning
By the end of this course, the registered students should be able to
(1) conduct basic experiments,
(2) make a logical conclusion, and
(3) write laboratory reports,
Course schedule
This Course will be divided in 6 chapters as follows:

1. Introduction of this course.

2. Cryoscopic determination of molecular weight.

3. Measurement method of heat of reaction.

4. Mechanism of battery.

5. Mesurement method of the partial molar volume.

6. Qualitative analysis of organic compounds.
Prerequisites
The registered students are required knowledge for chemistry and experiments in a high school level.

Students are required to do all experiments and submit a report for each. Failure to do this will result in a failed this course.

You must wear a lab coat and goggles at all times in the chemical laboratory. You should understand backgrounds of each experiment by reading the experimental text.
