Course description
When you convey your new idea on information science to someone, you have to describe it in mathematical language. In this course, students are expected to acquire basic knowledge on mathematics that is needed in communication among information science professionals.
Expected Learning
(1) Understand basic concepts on the set theory, equivalent relation, ordering relation.
(2) Understand basic concepts on algebraic systems, such as group, ring, field.

Prerequisites
This course is a basic class, and it will be a basis for more advanced courses.
