Course description
Topics in neuroscience field from basic research in neural development and ageing to brain imaging technology and clinical neuroscience will be covered by NCNP researchers. Each lecturer will talk about his area of expertise in this lecture series.
Expected Learning
This series of lectures aims to give students general understanding of research topics dealt with in NCNP. The information obtained in the lectures will help students in selecting NCNP laboratories for graduation thesis.
Course schedule
Topic for each lecture:
: “About this lecture series; Structure and dynamics of neuronal cell structure” by Toshiyuki Araki (Department of Peripheral Nervous System Research, NCNP)
: “Ageing, neurodegeneration, and regeneration of the nervous system, and energy metabolism” by Toshiyuki Araki (Department of Peripheral Nervous System Research, NCNP)
: Developmental biology of the nervous system at the molecular levels.” By Takayoshi Inoue (Department of Demyelinating Disease and Aging, NCNP)
: “Reading and manipulation of neuronal signaling” By Takashi Hanakawa (Department of Advanced Neuroimaging, NCNP)
: “Brain and environment.” By Manabu Honda (Department of Functional Brain research, NCNP)
