Course description
This course provides students with the foundations for the Polymer Chemistry. It will address the recent advance of polymer synthesis including the living polymerization systems as well as typical polymerization techniques. Students will learn to recognize such polymerization reactions in relationship to the chemical structures of monomer and the active species.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:
(1) Recognize the fundamentals of polymerization reactions
(2) Determine the appropriate polymerization in order to obtain target polymers
(3) Describe the living polymerization system with giving a specific example
