Course description
This class aims to study fundamentals of digital signal processing. Topics includes Fourier transform, auto and cross correlation functions, digital filters and their applications.
Expected Learning
Students are expected to understand a concept of digital signal processing and solve small-scale problems of above topics.
Course schedule
1. Digital Fourier transform (DFT)
Foundations of DFT
Fast Fourier transform (FFT)
DFT and FFT for high dimensional signals
2. Auto and cross correlation functions
Foundations of auto and cross correlation functions
Applications; fast computation of spectral of a signal and convolution between a signal and system response
3. Digital filter
Foundation of IIR and FIR filters.
Design of IIR and FIR filters.
Adaptive filter
Auto regression
