Course description |
This lecture “Understanding Societies and Cultures in Asian and African Regions” will be the lecture omnibus by teachers of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Expecting the cases where you will communicate with local people while performing research, development assistance and the other business in developing counties and emerging economies, this lecture will give an outline of the existing conditions, languages, cultures, customs and religions in various regions of Asia and Africa. In addition, it aimes to provide know-how and knowledge required to understand other cultures and to understand deeply each other though discussion in English. Every teacher will give a lecture in the first week and students are required to discuss the subjects of the lecture in the next week. |

1. To understand the present societies and cultures in Asian and African regions. 2. To acquire understanding and skill required to discuss these subjects in English |
