Course description |
In Japan, human population decreasing especially in satochi-satoyama, which caused decaying in forestry and agriculture, while, sika deer and wild boar has been increasing their number, which caused serious damages to agriculture, forestry and ecosystems. In this lecture, I would focus on hunting as a tool of wildlife management and evaluated the role of hunting as sustainable wildlife management and discuss how we establish new wildlife management system in Japan under drastically decreasing hunter population. |
