Course description |
Plants make a lot of response to signals of light, phytohormones and environmental stress. Many factors, such as receptors, G-protein, protein kinase and transcriptional factors, play important roles in these process. In this lecture, the functions of these factors and signal transduction in plant cells are explained using data of the recent articles. In addition, the technical principle in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry is introduced. |
Expected Learning |
The standard of this lecture is to understand the meaning of data provided by biochemical and molecular biological analysis. |
Course schedule |
The following is main contents of this lecture. 1. Introduction 2. Technics in molecular biology. 3. Technics in biochemistry. 4. 〜6. Receptor, which plays an important role in self-incompatibility system of Brassica. 7. 〜9.G protein, which plays an important role in germination of cereal seeds. (Signal transduction of gibberellin.) 10.〜11. MAP kinase cascade. (The signal transduction system that was common to eukaryotic cells.) 12.〜14. Two component system.
