Course description
Cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin are main components and play important roles in the wooden cell wall. This course will introduce how plants macromolecules are synthesized following deposited in the cell wall, and expresses the special function. Additionally, I also talk about structural variability of cellulose microfibrils and its analytical methods.
Expected Learning
The aim of this course is to help students acquire the understanding of morphology, structure, formation and degradation of plants macromolecules. In addition, study the methods for analyzing these mechanism.

Course schedule
Hierarchical structure of wood biomass
Cellulose crystalline structure and its distribution in nature
