Course description |
This course will discuss research methods and findings in human movement science. It is intended to enable students to learn fundamental principles of physical movements and activities in everyday life from the viewpoint of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, experimental psychology, and motor control theory. |
Expected Learning |
The learning experiences and activities in the course are designed to enable students to: 1) understand physiological basis of circulation and respiration, 2) understand basic mechanisms of sensorimotor systems controlling motor action in daily life. |

1st: Introduction: scientific connections between human movement science and engineering. 2nd:Contemporary life and health 3rd: Stress theory 4th: Neural control of circulation and respiration 1 (Heart &vessels) 5th: Neural control of circulation and respiration 2 (Respiration) 6th: Central nervous system 7th: Exercise and human body 8th: Review and mid-term examination. 9th: Anatomical and physiological basis of motor systems and sensory systems. 10th: Information theory in perceptual and motor control. 11th: Sensory information processing in human brain: reaction time paradigm. 12th: Perception in environment and motor behaviors: visual perception. 13th: Human error. 14th: Science and technology innovation targeting to the prevention of accident and injuries. 15th: Review and final examination. |
