Course description |
Course outline: This course consists of two parts. The first part gives students the opportunity to listen to famous English speeches and analyze their effective communication techniques. The second part focuses upon the impact of printing techniques upon human communication in the Western world and Japan. |
Expected Learning |
Course goals: This course aims to help students think about the two fundamental aspects of human communication: orality and literacy. Students will learn the essential elements of effective speeches and presentations. Students will also learn the importance of printing techniques in the development of human societies and their connections with the contemporary electrical media. |
