Course description
The management of Industrial Standardization is one of the important issues of MOT, Management of Technologies. This course covers improving the recognition of the importance of the standardization and its strategies, in addition to its role in the innovation. Thus it will enable engineers to use the standards as business tools. And the course offers discussion opportunities for improvement of understanding.

Message from instructor(s)
The lecture has had the experience of working in three sectors, a private company, Government (METI; Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), and research in some universities, such as MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). I would like to share with the students the importance of standardization and its relations with business from the multiple viewpoints. Positive participations are welcome.
