Course description
This course will address about some applications of tissue optics to the non-destractive measurements and non-invasive spectral imaging of in vivo biological tissues. It also provides students with the cutting-edges of biomedical optics and photonics.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to understand the fundamentals and applications of measuring techniques, analyses, and evaluations of light-tissue interactions as well as the applications of spectroscopy to the optical measurements and imaging of in vivo biological tissues.
Course schedule
1. Light sources, optical components, and detectors
2. Light transport in biological tissues
3. Optical biopsy with spectroscopy and analysis for bio-chemical
4. Functional imaging I
5. Functional imaging II
6. High-resolution imaging
7. Optical treatment
8. Summary
