Course description
The students have the opportunities to engage themselves in a variety of tasks to develop the new perspective for understanding our global society by examining the characteristics of languages and cultures through many different foods and lifestyles in Japan.
Expected Learning
1. To acquire basic knowledge through participating in a series of activities in English
2. To make presentations applying skills the students have obtained in class
Course schedule
1. Study trips (2 sessions/Dec. 5th, 2017, Jan 17th, 2018): collaborative workshops with international students

2. The lectures about Japanese language and linguistics
3. The skill development to teach the Japanese language systematically
4. Presentations and Discussions

Prerequisites
Intensive lectures for Leading program students; the detailed schedule for the study trips will be announced at the beginning of the course.
