Course description |
Eye disorders are frequently encountered in clinical veterinary practice. Systematically studying eye disorders is highly useful. This course focuses on disorders of the eye. This course seeks to increase students’ understanding through separate classes on regional anatomy, pathogenesis, diagnosis, medical treatment, and surgery. This course outlines ophthalmic disorders in both small animals and large animals. This course will feature numerous images from actual cases. |
Expected Learning |
To understand - in three dimensions - the normal structures of animal eyes and the function of different sites and to be able to graphically depict those structures and sites. To correctly understand and be able to explain mechanisms by which conditions develop and how to treat them. |

Students who attend 80% or more of the classes in this course and who have a score of 60 points or higher on the exam will receive credit for this course. Students will not be allowed to re-take the exam. Students will be notified later of the exam date. Students will be informed of the class schedule when the first class meets. |
