Course description |
This course aims to improve each student’s ability to plan and deliver effective presentations in English. Students will also continue to develop their speaking fluency and communication skills in English. |
Expected Learning |
Objectives: ・Students should develop the ability to research, plan and organize effective presentations in English. ・Students should develop the ability to confidently deliver presentations in English, using clear speech, body language, and visuals. ・Students should improve their speaking and listening skills through interaction with classmates. ・Students should be engaged in student-to-student interaction for the majority of the lesson. |

Students are recommended to bring an electronic dictionary (English-Japanese & Japanese-English) to each class. |
Assessment/Grading |
Attendance: 15% Class participation : 25%. As per TUAT requirements, students who are absent 6 times or more cannot receive credit for the course. Presentations: 60% Each of the three required presentations represents 20% of a student’s grade. Students are assessed on both the preparation and the delivery of each presentation. |
