Although animals can not show the humane language, we are able to understand what they think by observing their behavior in details. In this lecture, we try to understand their minds from actual observation.

Course schedule |
Firstly I teach ethology and methods for behavioral observation. Students perform the observation actually. Then the obtained data is statistically analyzed. Students present their own thinking from the analysis, and we discuss it. In addition, I show the world-wide movement of animal welfare. From behavioral observation and welfare issues, students present again on the future of animal welfare.
