Course description
From the observation result of the physical phenomenon, students learn how to comprehend the law that they lurk behind the phenomenon and summarize the results as a report.
Expected Learning
By conducting experiments on various physical phenomena and treating them quantitatively, understanding the latent behind the phenomenon from observation results of phenomena, acquiring the way of thinking and method of physics and summarizing them as reports To master the method.
Course schedule
0. Guidance, how to write a report
1. Motion and gravitational acceleration of mechanical truck
Learn about the gravity that is the foundation of physical phenomena.
Record the motion of the dolly moving on the slope and obtain the gravitational acceleration.
2. Basics of measurement and handling of measured values
Caliper, Learn about handling of balance and error of measurement.
3. Measurement of Young's modulus of metal material by bending loading method
Learn about the elasticity which is the basis of material mechanics. The bending Young's modulus of the metal rod is obtained by the loading method.
4. Measurement of Joule's heat and thermal workmanship
Learn the relationship between current and voltage, resistance and thermal energy which are the foundation of electricity. Measure the work cost of heat from the relationship of electricity - energy (Joule's law).
5. Wavelength measurement of laser light by diffraction
Measure the wavelength of the wave (light) using steel scale or diffraction grating.
6. Explanation of experiment and report ①
7. Explanation of experiment and report ②
Prerequisites
