Course description
Aim: The aim of this course is to get basic skills to measure forest volume and know-hows to establish a forest management plan through workshop method.
Summary: The course provides: 1) Intensive classes in University Forest to learn mensuration methods and forest planning; 2) Continued workshops to establish a forest management plan; 3) Presentation and Discussion for forest management planning.
Expected Learning
You will obtain basic skills of forest mensuration and forest planning.
Course schedule
The intensive class in September: seven days in FM Kusaki forest
Weekly session classes in the latter-half semester: Thursday afternoon
Presentation and Discussion: November and January
