Course description |
Even if you are asked the question "what kind of study is Philosophy?", you will only have some vague impression. It is unavoidable. It is because the object of philosophy has changed in the transition of the times (Nature, Cosmos, God, Human beings, Society, Freedom…), and has not been decided as one until now. That is, the philosophers have gradually changed the inheritance thoughts at the former time into something responding to the request at the time, and handed the batons over to philosophers at the following time. By such the historical practice of philosophy which have established the new view of society, human, and history, we are able to enjoy the freedom. So, this lecture focuses on "freedom" and "alienation", and searches for the philosophical fun. And I wish to show how philosophy is deeply related to various problems of modern society. |
