| The course provides introduction to veterinary surgery. The course comprise of both theoretical and practical learning of basic surgical concepts and techniques. |

| Course schedule |

? Demonstrate knowledge in all the stages of preparations of the patient, the team and the surgical suit, to surgery. ? Demonstrate knowledge of surgical instruments and basic surgical techniques. ? Practice knot tying and various suturing techniques. ? Practice bandaging techniques. ? Demonstrate knowledge of wound management. ? Demonstrate knowledge of surgical skin procedures: primary wound closure, skin flaps and skin grafts. ? Demonstrate knowledge of surgical diseases of the skin. ? Become familiar with basic concepts of veterinary rehabilitation and physiotherapy. |
