Course description
This course provides students with the literary, aesthetical and philosophical foundation for thinking of some subjects of literatures and arts. Students will learn to recognize traditional ones through some artworks including music works, fine arts and movies. Students entering this course will be able to experience various cultures.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to:
(1) Understand diversity of Literature / Art / Kunstwissenschaft / Aesthetics, accept it, and improve own cultural level
(2) Describe own thoughts of Literature / Art / Kunstwissenschaft / Aesthetics logically, using examples or theories

Two Exams will be given. Logic and persuasiveness will be taken very seriously.

Students are expected to find out own problem of literatures and arts and deliberate on it, even if these works are not important for others.
Homework assignments will be given weekly. Homework will constitute reading Textbook and Reference publications.
