Course description
You must complete the units "French Grammar 1" and "French Grammar 2" to have a total understanding of French Grammar.
Expected Learning
After successfully completing the units "French Grammar 1" and "French Grammar 2", you wiil be ablet to :
1) use simple phrases used in daily life
2) pronounce correctly words
3) understand the functions of articles, and use them correctly
4) look up the infinitive, the meaning, and the usage of a verb in a dictionary
5) look up the meaning and the usage of a noun in a dictionary
6) read a text written in present tense
7) have a concrete notion of French and culture of Frenc-speaking countries
Course schedule
Week 1: Guidance; alphabet; accents
Week 2: Genders and plurals of nouns ; indefinite articles; definite articles
Week 3: Voici and Voila ; Subject personal pronouns ; Present tenses of the verb "etre"
Week 4: C'est / Ce sont ; Present tenses of the verb "avoir" ; negatives
Week 5: Partial articles ; adjectives
Week 6: Present tenses of the regular verbs -er ; interrogatives
Week 7: Determiners ; possessive adjectives
Week 8: Present tense of the irregular verbs "aller", "venir" ; contraction of the prepositions "a" and "de" and definite articles
Week 9: Near future and near past ; Impersonal sentences
Week 10: Present tenses of the regular verbs -er, -ir ; imperatives
Week 11: Interrogative adjectives ; interrogative ponouns
Week 12: Obeject personal pronouns (unstressed and stressed ):1
Week 13: Obeject personal pronouns (unstressed and stressed ):2
Week 14: Pronominal verbs
