Course description |
Earth Science is the basis for the understanding of environmental issues of today. The purpose of this class is to understand the origin of the Earth, its structure and materialistic composition, plate tectonics theory, and relationships between the evolution of life and environmental change in geological history. |
Expected Learning |
1. To understand the origin and physical structure of the Earth, and the geological history of the planet. 2. To understand the relationships between biological evolution and environmental change in the planet. 3. To understand the recent situations and future perspectives of environmental issues of the Earth |

Message from instructor(s) |
Without knowledge of Earth Science, we cannot properly understand the environmental issues today surrounding us. You will understand the history of the planet Earth from several viewpoints of research disciplines you are interested in. The class will be provided in plain words with variable audio and visual media. |
