Course description |
Chemical reactions are frequently used in industry. We need to understand reaction kinetics, such as reaction rate, to properly control chemical reactions. In this lecture, several topics, from fundamentals to applications, are introduced. Students are expected to derive equation sets of chemical reactions and to understand reaction kinetics. |
Expected Learning |
・Derivation of a set of equations related to reaction rates. ・Understanding the meaning of reaction rate constants. ・Derivation of analytical solution using an approximation such as quasi-steady state approximation. ・Understanding and explaining of chemical reactions based on equations of reaction rates. |
Course schedule |
