Course description |
Student teams of 2-3 persons makes small robots with the function required for a robot competition. Every team designs and manufactures it according to the rule (size, material, power supply, etc.), using the knowledge and skills acquired in basic education course. In final class, a robot competition is held and all teams compete the performance of manufactured robots. The purpose of this class is to understand engineering process by means of experiencing designing and manufacturing process. |

Leaners who successfully complete this course will be able to: ・Perform idea generation work in ordet to solve the given challenges. ・Design and manufacture the desired mechanism. ・Plan and manage the production schedule and budget. |

Week1 Orientation for course description and subjects for each class. Week2 Orientation for robot contest (overview and rules). Week3 Scheduling. Week4 Basic concept. Week5 Basic design. Week6 Component design. Week7-13 Manufacturing. Week14 Test drive and adjustment. Week15. Robot contest and presentation. |
