Course description |
This course explores how the languages reflect the societies they are used in. By examining the language use in specific social contexts, the students observe and analyze its intentions and the social significance. |
Expected Learning |
The participants are expected to: 1)Understand the characteristics of Japanese language in the specific contexts 2)Find out the pragmatic similarities and differences between Japanese language and their native languages 3)Develop the new perspective for understanding our global society based on your findings. |
