Course description
To share the basics of interdisciplinary communication in Department of International Environmental and Agricultural Science, this course provides the basics of scientific communication, such as literature survey and review, research proposal writing, and oral and poster presentation skills.
Expected Learning
The goal of this course is to obtain the basics of scientific communication, such as literature survey and review, research proposal writing, and oral and poster presentation skills.

Prerequisites
Compulsory for the first-year students of Department of International Environmental and Agricultural Science (IEAS). Each student needs to submit a one-page research proposal and make a 5 minutes presentation of his/her research plan.

Assessment/Grading
Positive participation in the class: 30%, assignments: 70% (submitting a one-page research proposal and making a 5 minutes presentation using PowerPoint)
