Course description
This course is planned to support students to learn how to prepare and give a presentation in English of their research projects or master theses. In general, it is covered on how to make an effective presentation. At first, the instructor will present 1-2 presentations (i.e. related to current environmental problems) which show how to organize a presentation in English. All students should prepare and deliver a 20 min oral presentation on their own research projects or master theses in English.
Expected Learning
Students will be learnt tips to create clear and conclusive slides, and to deliver presentations. Moreover, they will learn what data would be prepared for the presentation, how to structure what they want to say, slides that can easily understand to the listeners, readiness and active participation for questions and answers.

Assessment/Grading
Grading will be decided by following norms;
Students must attend all classes and prepare a good presentation. In addition, presentation skills and readiness for questions and answers will be considered. Grades will not be given if no presentation is given by a student.
Message from instructor(s)
In any case that a student cannot attend the first two classes, Class 1 or Class 2, due to unavoidable circumstances, it should be informed to the instructor at least a week before the class. Class 3 and 4 are mandatory. Students are encouraged to submit their presentation abstract before they deliver their presentations, but not compulsory. They are encouraged to practice their presentations before coming to class. All should bring hard copies of their presentations for distribution among participants.
