| This course deals with aspects of the management of chemical substances in our society. It addresses the fundamental concepts of chemicals management, its implementation by the governmental bodies, and test methods to support the implementation, and discusses problems in the management. Particular focus is on health and ecotoxicological hazards of chemicals potentially emitted to the environment |

| Students who successfully complete this course will be able to understand the general framework of chemicals management in Japan and to express their opinion on the problems in the management. |
