Course description
Field observation and Numerical modeling, which are essential tools for the atmospheric environment assessment, will be introduced.
Expected Learning
- To understand the issue of atmospheric environment.
- To understand the roles of field observation and numerical modeling for the atmospheric environment assessment.
- To understand how to derivate the numerical modeling and apply it to the assessment.
Course schedule
1. Roles of field observation and numerical modeling for the atmospheric environment assessment.
2. Primary emission and secondary formation of air pollutants
3. Derivation and application of the analytical solution model (Gaussian plume model)
4. Derivation and application of the numerical solution model (3D-grid based model)
