Course description |
In this course, we will learn how to 'read', that is, 'interpret' images by analyzing films. After looking through the history of films very briefly, we will compare several films based on Shakespeare’s dramas. |
Expected Learning |
By comparing films with drama texts as well as with stage performances, learn how to understand moving images from various points of view, and thus understand how technology is related with other fields especially with cultures of the time. The cultivation of the ability to examine matters from different angles is also expected. The main ttext we will discuss this year is Midsummer Night's Dream. |
