Course description
Following undergraduate quantum physics course, students learn some subjects in quantum mechanics, which include (1)collisions, (2)atom-photon interactions, and (3)Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) of dilute gases as an application of the former two subjects.
Expected Learning
Students are expected to be able to
(1)understand the theory of potential scattering as a basic of particle collisions,
(2)describe a two-level atom interacting with light,
(3)understand the basic concepts of BEC.
