Course description
This lecture consists "basic" understanding of engineering and chemistry/physics related to particulate matter (fine particles). To understand "material function design" through "particle engineering". Student will learn about the physical properties of micro- and nano-particles, the measurement method, the dispersed particle system (especially in the gas phase), and examples of the particle design and manufacturing process as functional material.
Expected Learning
Understand the characteristics of particulate matter (fine particles) and understand its functionalization.
Course schedule
1. Size reduction of material (It is also included the content of the lecture of the first half (1))
2. Design and synthesis of materials: Seeking the combination (including factors from mining-site)
3. Functionalization and evaluation method of substances
