Course description
Students obtain more understanding for food production, environmental problems, and their solutions through a field trip to Northwest China with students of Sophia University and Chinese Academy of Sciences. International communication exercises Ⅲ and IV should be registered together.
Expected Learning
Students perform a field trip through discussion with team members and make their own reports.
Course schedule
Students make teams with those of Sophia University and every team decide a subject related to crop production or environmental issues in Northwest China. After pre-studies (May to July), students perform a study trip (August 1 to August 10) consisting of lectures by Chinese Academy of Sciences, surveys to river, canal, fields and wetland, and experiments. Through these activities, students obtain more understanding for food production, environmental problems, and their solutions in Northwest China.
