Course description

This course will train students to become environmental specialists who also work as educators, leaders, researchers, or/and engineers. Throughout the course, we ask the following key questions: What is the concept and the practice of so-called “education for sustainable society”? What is its relation to agricultural science, environmental studies, and education? What are the position and the role of environmental science and education for “sustainable society” on a global scale? We will review the basic principles of “education for sustainable society.” This is followed by our discussion on specific case studies from Japan and other Asian countries. We will examine possibilities and practicalities of each case.

Expected Learning

Students will check on the basis of "take the medical records situation of courses as teaching medium.
