Course description
This course provides students with the fundamental concepts and principles of biostatics. We lecture, at first, the phylogeny and taxonomy of life from the viewpoint of evolutionary history, and then, the morphology and physiology of the plants and animals, and discuss the amazing mechanisms of structure and function. We also comment on the relationship between those organisms and human life.
Expected Learning
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to explain the taxonomy, morphology, and physiology of life from the viewpoints of phylogeny and comparative biology.

Prerequisites
This class is for the An students and some part of the En students. Students entering this course are assumed to have obtained the credit for TATⅠ "Biology".
In addition to the 30 hours spent in the class, students are requested to prepare for and review lectures spending the standard amount of time specified by the University.
Required Text(s) and Materials
The texts on Moodle are based on the 8th and after editions of Campbell's "Biology". When purchasing a copy, the latest version is recommended.
