Course description |
This course is for the students aiming the score over 80 on iBT/ 550 on PBT or ITP TOEFL. They will attain; 1) Sound knowledge of TOEFL test and test taking strategy 2) Basic to advanced level of vocabulary 3) Reading ability to read college level academic materials 4) Listening skills to understand the academic lectures and campus conversations 5) Writing ability with a good command of grammar. 6) Speaking ability to prepare the speech in a given time. and any other skills necessary |
Expected Learning |
The grades in 100 score scale are determined by the students’ results on the tests and assignments, as well as the sincere participation in each class session ; A: scores 90 or above: Be able to take academic level university classes by marking enough TOEFL scores and receive excellent grades , A , 90/100, or above. B: scores 80 to 89: Be able to take academic level university classes by marking enough TOEFL scores and receive high grades , B , 80/100, with prospective extra academic support. C: scores 70 to 79: Be able to take academic level university classes by marking enough TOEFL scores (500-550). D: scores 60 to 69: Not yet ready to go over TOEFL requirement. F: below 59 |

Prerequisites |
This course carries 1 credit. In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, they are recommended to prepare for, and review, the classes using the textbook and the reference books, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University for each class. Students must attend at least 2/3 of a course in order to receive credit for that course. If students do not fully attend the class for two times, it should be counted as one time of absence. |
