Course description |
Transition metal-catalyzed reaction is an environmentally benign method for the synthesis of useful compounds. In this lecture you will study the fundamentals and examples of the transition-metal catalyzed reactions. You will also study the chemistry of the interlocked compounds, which behave as molecules composed of two or more components "connected" without covalent bonds. |
Expected Learning |
1. You will be able to understand the basics of transition metal-catalyzed reaction. 2. You will be able to understand the chemistry of interlocked compounds. |
Course schedule |
1. Introduction; the basics of transition metal-catalyzed reaction. 2. Organic synthesis based on transition metal-catalyzed reactions. 3. The basics of interlocked compounds. 4. Synthesis and properties of interlocked compounds. |
Prerequisites |
The deep understanding of "Organic Chemistry" and related courses. |
