Course description |
Based on elementary grammar and reading, this course is designed to develop a higher level of proficiency in translation or written communication. Emphasis is on reinforcement and enrichment of vocabulary, and the preparation of licensing examination in German. |
Expected Learning |
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to: 1. read and understand high level German text with the aid of a dictionary. 2. write and listen complex sentences in every tense. |

Prerequisites |
Students are requested to take "German Ⅰ・Ⅱ" . Text of grammar and dictionary are needed. Students are recommended to spend 45 minutes in preparing for each class, and another 45 minutes in completing assignments and revising the class. |

Dictionaries and other reading materials are suggested in the first class. |
Assessment/Grading |
After having participated in class for one full semester regularly (30%) and after having passed the final exam (70%) students are entitled to obtain a certificate at the end of the course. |
